Developed with a unique lens material by a Nobel Prize-winning scientist, the RxLAL™ delivers superior visual outcomes that traditional non-adjustable intraocular lenses cannot match. This cutting-edge technology allows you to customize your vision after cataract surgery, providing you with the unique ability to adjust and preview your vision until it aligns perfectly with your personal preferences and lifestyle needs.
How the RxSight Light Adjustable Lens (RxLAL™) Works
The RxLAL™ is crafted from a special photosensitive silicone that can be adjusted post-implantation. This unique feature means your doctor can fine-tune the lens to your specific visual needs after cataract surgery.
The adjustment process begins after the RxLAL™ is implanted and your eye has healed. Dr. Kelly or Dr. Brissette will use a specialized light delivery device to make precise adjustments to the lens. This light causes the photosensitive material to change shape, thus altering the lens power until your desired vision correction is achieved.
