A Procedure to Match Your Eye’s Uniqueness

The eye has thousands of unique measurements that can be found on the cornea alone. Offering an even greater level of control and precision than traditional LASIK, WaveLight technology is an all-laser procedure that makes corrections based on wavefront technology, which is a 3D mapping of the eyes. With this mapping, laser technology can be used to make extremely precise and specific improvements to the shape of the cornea. The technology creates a 3D image of the eye, measuring precisely how light enters the cornea and makes its way to the retina. The goal of WaveLight LASIK is to address all higher-order aberrations, as well as myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism.

Advantages of WaveLight LASIK

•    Provides a higher chance of achieving 20/20 vision or better
•    Decreases the risk of permanent glaring/haloing
•    Increases the chance of eliminating the use of contact lenses
•    Reduces the chance of patients losing their best-corrected vision

Wavefront-Guided Technology

Wavefront technology allows Dr. Kelly to create a detailed map of your eye, down to the microscopic level. When the laser knows precisely where to go, more of the corneal tissue can be preserved. The results are clear vision. Allegretto WaveLight also creates a large optical zone. This is the part of the cornea that is actually touched by the beam of the laser.

The quality of night vision after Allegretto WaveLight treatment is unparalleled in laser vision correction technology. In fact, clinical results show a nearly 100% success rate for overall vision and night vision. Patients who have undergone wavefront-guided LASIK often obtain even better vision than they had before with their glasses or contact lenses. FDA data has demonstrated that 98% of patients can see 20/20 or better without glasses or contacts after Wavefront LASIK. Remarkably, 70% of patients could see better than 20/20 after the procedure.

“I had been wanting laser eye surgery for many years, and I was always nervous about going through with the procedure. I was wearing contacts/ glasses for about 15 years, and I knew it was time to get LASIK after a friend had her procedure done here as well and was raving about it. I am extremely happy that I came to Kelly Vision Center.”
