How Does Laser Cataract Surgery Work?

Every eye has a unique size and shape. With CATALYS advanced 3D imaging technology, a 3D map of each eye is built — and a treatment plan is tailored to that map. This allows Dr. Kelly to create a thoroughly customized treatment plan that considers the unique anatomical features of each eye. Clinical studies have shown that this procedure is approximately 10 times more accurate when performed with CATALYS than when performed by hand.

A Gentle, Low-Energy Approach to Cataract Surgery

When the CATALYS laser is used during cataract surgery, it softens the lens, which enables Dr. Kelly to remove the cataract in a more gentle manner than traditional cataract surgery. In general, this approach results in a quicker visual recovery time.

Insurance Options

Many patients want to know if their procedure is covered by health insurance. This isn’t always clear until we have spoken with you, but many services that we offer are fully or partially covered. If there’s a procedure that you’re interested in and you’d like to know whether or not it’s covered, we encourage you to inquire about specifics when you’re in the office with us. We can determine if your procedure will be assisted by the financial help of health coverage.
