LenSx logoAt Kelly Laser, we maintain a strong commitment to using only the highest quality of equipment for all of our treatments.

We’re very pleased to be able to offer the LenSx® Laser for patients undergoing laser cataract surgery. The LenSx Laser creates an incredible level of accuracy that is simply unachievable with manual surgery methods.

image1-smallCataracts are a clouding of the lens capsule that affects about 50% of Americans over the age of 80. Cataracts are typically caused by age, but things like long-term exposure to UV light, smoking, and other external factors can increase your susceptibility.

If you do get cataracts, you will most likely get them in both eyes; however, typically patients will notice cataract formation in one eye earlier than the other.

Some of the typical symptoms of cataracts include:

  • Blurry or cloudy vision
  • Difficulty seeing at night
  • Light sensitivity
  • Double vision
  • Frequent changes in lens prescription

With the LenSx Laser our surgeons are able to customize the procedure to your personal ocular characteristics, and perform your treatment with exact precision.

Medicare and private insurance will cover some of the cost of laser assisted cataract surgery with the LenSx Laser, and the procedure can be performed simultaneously with other laser treatments for issues such as presbyopia (difficulty reading), and astigmatism. Should you need additional financing, we offer a variety of options to suit your budget.

If you’d like to learn more about this revolutionary new technology, please give us a call. One of our eye care professionals would be happy to meet with you in either our Manhattan or Long Island office, and explain the process in detail.

We look forward to meeting you, and bringing you one step closer to clear, unobstructed vision.
