The Allegretto Wave laser employs advanced technology called PerfectPulse Technology to provide you with greater accuracy in your LASIK procedure. The laser is calibrated to the unique specifications of your eye contour, resulting in a greater degree of control as the laser reshapes your cornea.

The Allegretto Wave uses highly specialized tracking technology to chart your eye movements up to 200 times a second. As a result, the laser beam is always aware of where your eye is. If your eye makes a sudden movement, the beam will wait for your eye to return to an appropriate position so that it can continue tracking.

This technology provides you with a variety of benefits compared with older LASIK procedures. The Allegretto Wave makes use of wavefront-guided technology to digitally map your eye, preserving a greater amount of corneal tissue. This leads to a more accurate procedure and clearer vision.

Allegretto Wave technology also reads a large optical zone, reducing complications in patients with large pupils. This expanded optical zone eliminates the risk of night vision side effects such as glare and haloes in most patients.
